Please contact our office to request this service and get an exact amount of the off-day pick up fee schedule.

I have a construction or bulk item that needs to be picked up, is this included in my regular trash service?

Many items are NOT included in your normal services theses items are considered bulk items or construction items. Bulk items are items such as furniture, or appliances, electronics (including TVs, computers, printers, etc), as well as anything that can not be safely canned or bagged in a 32 gallon container. Construction items are items that would have to do with remodeling your home or yard, as well as many other types of home improvement projects. Construction items like wood do not compact well, making them more expensive to dump. If requested in advance, we are able to haul these items off for you at an additional charge ranging from as low as $10 on up, depending on the item as well as if it is necessary to send a different truck than the one that normally picks up your trash.

I have a lot of concrete & dirt from a project, can I just throw these items in with my trash?

Sorry, we are unable to haul concrete, dirt, rock or sod. These items can ONLY be hauled if they are in a roll off container. These items are too heavy for regular bags and can destroy expensive equipment if not hauled correctly. If you would like to order a Roll-Off container please click here.

What items can NOT be hauled by WSI?

Any kind of liquid, paint, solvent, fertilizer, oil, animal carcass, medical waste, or anything containing Freon.

We are unable to haul electronics (including TVs, computers, and printers) due to state law with landfills.

In order to dispose of these items properly, please contact El Paso County Household Hazardous Waste at (719) 520-7878 with any questions regarding proper disposal of these items at their Hazardous Household Waste Facility.

WSI Trash Tips:
  • Always have all trash all the way down on the curb no later than 7:00 am on your pick up day. We are unable to pick it up if it is not out.
  • Make sure all trash is canned or bagged so that it can be safely loaded into the truck by one man.
  • Make sure all trash bags are tied and any loose trash is secured so that it does not get scattered by weather or dogs before we arrive.
  • Make sure that bags are not overloaded so they don’t break in an attempt to load them. Remember our driver will have to pick the item up over waist height to get it into the truck.
  • Trash should be canned or bagged, and all boxes flattened or broken down.
